Glad to hear you and your family are alright. It was good to talk to you last week. Great post. Far too often I feel like I have this experience internally. Thanks for the reminder.

Chris Reeder

Glad y'all are ok.

Brad Ruggles

Wow, that would be so scary. Glad to hear you're safe and sound!

J.R. Lee

That's crazy! It felt like we lived in Kansas rather than the Southeast.

WOW - I can't believe it came that close to you guys! But, I'm SOOOO glad that you guys knew what to do and that you were protected from anything greater than some hail and wind damage. Whew - I got chills and tears thinking about you and your girls in the hallway Saturday night and how scary that is! God is so good and so protective! Definitely praying for your guys!

Greg Harris

Wow Jay, glad to hear that everyone is ok. I guess that tornado was no match for God! ;)

dude, that is crazy stuff. you actually saw a tornado? and then you acted like macguyver using the mattress to cover everyone? thats what c-boost will do for you no doubt.

glad you're family is ok man.

Heather Armfield

So glad you guys are okay! Love you guys.

Jay, I'm so glad to hear you guys are OK. We had really bad weather here too, but we didn't experience anything like you guys. I'll be praying for your girls. I've got a 3 1/2 and a 2 yr old and I can't imagine trying to explain that to them.

Cynthia (Wood) Thomas

unreal jay. so thankful you are fine in the end. when jordan, who's now 16, was three, we had a mini twister touch down about 100 feet from where we were standing (a mall parking lot). very surreal. he was scared of thunderstorms and dark skies for about two years until it finally abated. praying for all of you jay!

Ray Brock

Wow Jay, I am so glad you all are all right. If you need anything, just let me know. We'll caravan a group of men there to help out.

jason salamun

Really happy to hear you guys are safe. I know how scary that can be. Will be praying my friend.

Great Lord - Thanks for protecting Jay and his family. I pray endurance, good health, and encouragement over their lives...We all can't wait to see what you'll do. In Jesus' name.

Erika Chapman

Praise God! We were bunkered down in my sister's house in Charleston but my parents were trying to drive away from the storms from Atlanta to Charleston and instead drove through it for 8 hours. Saw three tornados and drove through tremendous damage. God spared them, thankfully. Crazy stuff. I will be praying for your girls!

jay hardwick

thanks to all of you who commented here and to all of you who called, texted, and emailed with empathy and prayers. it means so much to have your support!

dude, so glad you guys are alright. i know how scary that must have been for all of you.

it's always amazing to me how in those moments when there isn't time to think and you have no clue how to react, God just walks you through it.

kristi and i had an incredibly close call with a tornado when we lived in nashville... and that is an experience i never want to have again. truly scary.

glad you guys are alright, bro.

Michelle Richards

Glad to hear you guys are okay. I actually thought of your family the other day when we were under warnings. If you need anything, let us know! God is so good.

Jed Dearybury

I just read this... I am so thankful you guys are okay... I have lived that same experience when i was 16.. I hope I never do it again!!!
