Today was a landmark day for Catalyst Church.
We broke our children's attendance record this morning.
We broke our attendance record for the 9:30 service this morning.
A bunch of people had an unbelievable encounter with God tonight in our first ever Night of Worship. Oh yeah, Todd Fields can come lead worship at Catalyst ANYTIME!
I made some announcements tonight...
CC'ers...did you know that you gave $90,000 to Catalyst Church in the last month? Well, you did! Blows me away...and proves that you're not just here to look at each other and have spaghetti dinners. You're here for a purpose...a cause...a mission.
BIG NEWS...the 162,000 people in our city who don't go to church will never be more than 6 days away from a relevant, irresistible environment because Catalyst will start WEEKLY experiences on May 6! Before I even finished the announcement tonight people were going crazy! That's gotta be a good sign. Oh, we ain't playin' this time. It's happening.
AND...we have a HUGE opportunity to make some noise in Greenville. I can't tell you about it yet because it's not finalized yet. But I told everyone tonight to PRAY that God would give us favor where needed and clear the way for this to happen. Seriously...if we can do it, it has the potential to reach THOUSANDS of people in Greater Greenville. I'm telling you, it's BIG!
And folks, this is only the beginning! God is laying out some things for us that make me uneasy. I wonder, "how in the world could that happen?" Uhhh...maybe because we serve a HUGE God who wants to do something HUGE in Greenville, SC. And, Catalyst Church is part of that plan. He didn't breathe this church into existence to just play church...He breathed this church into existence to MOVE...to ADVANCE...to RISK...to make some NOISE...to make the name of Jesus FAMOUS in Greenville, SC.
CC'ers...we ain't playin' anymore. It's game time.
Tonight was great Jay. Thank you for your vision and passion.
